Rowing Announces Spring Schedule in First Year Under Felice

The season will start in Sacramento, California, on March 14.
MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women's rowing head coach Kennedy Felice announced the 2026 spring schedule on Wednesday (February 18), her first season at the helm of the program. The season will feature five races prior to the Big 12 Championship in May.
"Racing is what we prepare for all year, and we're excited to jump into our season," Felice said. "We're looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish this year."
Following a week of spring camp, competition begins on March 14-15 in Sacramento, Calif., with the Hornet Invitational hosted by Sacramento State. Two weeks later the Wildcats head to the opposite coast in Sarasota, Fla., for the Sarasota 2k at UCF on March 27-28.
"Moving closer to the season I'm ready to see the progress that we've made from the beginning of the year," junior captain Lorelei Harris said. "The team has worked hard getting fitter this preseason and I'm excited to see that work pay off."
April will be a busy month for the Cats with two consecutive weeks of races, starting with the annual Sunflower Showdown on April 11 in Kansas City, Kan., before the SIRA Championship in Oak Ridge, Tenn., on April 18-19. The team will wrap up the month with the Creighton Duel on April 30 in Omaha, Neb.
"We have a younger team this year, but we have been working really hard to get ready for the season," senior captain Ava Werner said. "We've been getting stronger every week and building trust as a team. Overall, I think this season has so much potential to help move our program forward."
The season will wrap up with the Big 12 Championship on May 17 back in Sarasota, Fla., for a consecutive year.
"This time of year, is always exciting. We have our final push of winter training going on right now and we are doing everything we can to work toward our goals," Felice said. "We're staying focused, working hard, and we're going to keep pushing the program forward."
