MANHATTAN, Kan. – First-year head coach Casey Alexander continued building his roster for the 2026-27 men's basketball season with the addition of transfer Isaiah Abraham (Gainesville, Va./Paul VI/UConn/Georgetown) on Friday (April 17).
A 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward originally from Gainesville, Va., Abraham arrives at K-State with two years of Division I experience, having played in 42 games with 31 starts in his time at UConn (2024-25) and Georgetown (2025-26). In those 42 games, he averaged 4.1 points on 39 percent (60-of-154) shooting, including 33.3 percent (28-of-84) from 3-point range, with 2.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 16.4 minutes per game.
Abraham most recently played one season at Georgetown in 2025-26 for head coach Ed Cooley, playing in 33 of 34 games with 31 starts for a Hoya squad that went 16-18 overall and 6-14 in BIG EAST play. The sophomore averaged 4.8 points on 38.5 percent (55-of-143) shooting, including 32.5 percent (25-of-77) from 3-point range, with 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 19.9 minutes per game.
Abraham scored in 26 of 33 games as a Hoya with five double-digit scoring games, including a season-high 17 points on 6-of-7 field goals, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range, vs. Coppin State on Dec. 22, 2025. Twice he scored in double figures in BIG EAST play, including 13 points vs. Seton Hall on Jan. 10 and vs. Marquette on Feb. 24.
Abraham started his college career at UConn in 2024-25 where he saw action in nine games for a Husky squad that won 25 games and lost to eventual champion Florida in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He scored 14 points on the season in limited action as a true freshman, connecting on 45.5 percent (5-of-11) shooting, including 42.9 percent (3-of-7) from 3-point range. He had a season-high 6 points vs. UMES on Nov. 30, 2024.
Abraham established himself as a top prep players at St. Paul VI Catholic School in Chantilly, Va., where he led the Panthers to a 35-3 overall record, the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Division I State Championship and a No. 1 national ranking in 2024. The team advanced to the Chipotle Nationals Championship Game, where they lost to Montverde Academy. He won three straight state titles at Paul VI and was a three-time VISAA All-State selection.
Abraham played with Team Takeover on the AAU circuit, where he led them to the 2023 17U Nike Peach Jam title.
Abraham is the second player to join the Wildcat from the transfer portal, joining 7-foot-1, 255-pound center JT Rock (Sioux Falls, S.D./Lincoln/Iowa State/New Mexico).
