Rustemova Earns CSC Academic All-District Honors

The native of Astana, Kazakhstan becomes the fifth Wildcat to earn the honor
MANHATTAN, Kan.- K-State women's tennis sophomore Chanel Rustemova earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors as announced on Tuesday (May 12).
Rustemova becomes the fifth Wildcat to be named to the All-District Team since the 2022-23 season, joining Charlotte Keitel, Veronika Kulhava, Tereza Polakova and Maria Santos.
A native of Astana, Kazakhstan, with a 3.58 GPA majoring in business, Rustemova adds to her academic honors after being named a 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete and to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team last season.
During the spring, Rustemova was 7-8 in dual action, with a 4-2 record on the no. 6 court, garnering two conference wins. In doubles she had a 9-11 record with partner Sasha Kyselova.
During the year she was 11-13 in singles play and in the fall with doubles partner Maralgoo Chogsomjav they competed in three ITA Championships with a 3-4 record in the All-American, Central Regional and Central Sectional.
