K-State Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

MANHATTAN, Kan. – For the sixth time in the 11-year history of the program, K-State soccer garnered the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for its efforts in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.
The Wildcats had the highest team grade point average (GPA) of any program in the Big 12 during the 2025-26 academic year with a mark of 3.75.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
During the 2025-26 academic year, K-State registered 16 selections for the Academic All-Big 12 First Team. The Wildcats also saw six student-athletes collect College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors.
K-State soccer completed the 2025 season with the first winning record in program history (7-6-5). The Wildcats broke 49 school records in head coach Colleen Corbin's first season at the helm of the program including wins in a season (7), goals in a season (23) and shutouts (9).
The Wildcats return 57 percent of its total goals scored and 64 percent of its total assists from the 2025 season.
The Wildcats begin the 11th season of action on Thursday, August 13, against Seattle U., in Honolulu, Hawaii.
