The men's team had the highest team finish in the NCAA Outdoor Championship for the first time since 2022, tying for 30th place with 10 points courtesy of Emil Uhlin and Selva Prabhu. Uhlin earned his first First Team All-America honor after finishing 3rd in the men's decathlon with 7,859 points, the no. 4 score in K-State school records. Prabhu, a freshman, finished 5th in the men's triple jump with a distance of 16.09m (52' 9.50"). 

Four other Wildcats earned Second Team All-America honors; Shalom Olotu in both the women's triple (12th) and long jump (15th), Monique Hardy in the women's hammer throw (12th), Safhia Hinds in the 400 meter hurdles (13th) and Riley Marx in the men's javelin throw (11th).

Sharie Enoe was the lone Wildcat to advance to the indoor NCAA Championship in Virginia Beach, Va., earning her first First-Team All America honor after tying for 8th place in the women's high jump at 1.85m (6' 0.75").

Gary Moore Jr. swept the men's weight throw and hammer throw titles at the Big 12 Championship. He claimed the weight throw school record at the Championship with a throw of 22.67m (74' 4.50") and won the hammer throw title at 67.68m (222' 0").

Two other Wildcats were crowned Big 12 Champions during the outdoor season, Jhavor Bennett in the men's triple jump (16.21m, 53' 2.25") and Hinds in the women's 400 meter hurdles in 55.90 seconds.  

On July 11, 2024, Travis Geopfert was announced as the 7th Director of Track and Field/Cross Country , bringing 22 years of coaching experience to Manhattan.

The season was highlighted by a sweep of the men's and women's hammer throw crown at the outdoor Big 12 Championship by Kade McCall and Monique Hardy. Hardy was a two-time Big 12 Championship during the season, also claiming the weight throw crown during the indoor season. 

Multiple school records were broken throughout the season including McCall breaking his own hammer throw school record multiple times throughout the outdoor season. The men's 4x400 relay, Eugene Omalla, Kyle Gale, Jaimie Omalla and Tavon Underwood, set a new indoor record in front of a home crowd during the inaugural meet, DeLoss Dodds Invitational, at the new Indoor Track and Field Complex. Eugene Omalla also set records of his own in the 400 meter dash at the indoor Big 12 Championship in 45.18 seconds which was a new school, meet and facility record.

The Wildcats earned seven Second Team All-American honors during the season, six of them from the indoor NCAA Championship in Boston, Mass., with Hardy (11th; weight throw), Sharie Enoe (14th; women's high jump) and E. Omalla, Gale, J. Omalla and Underwood (10th; 4x400 relay). Urte Bacianskaite earned her third All-American honors in the heptathlon, finishing 12th with 5,696 points, the first by a Wildcat in school history.  

In May, legendary coach Cliff Rovelto announced his retirement at the end of the season, bringing an end to 36 years in Manhattan, 32 at the helm of the track and field program, the second-most tenured coach in K-State athletics history.

At the outdoor NCAA Championship in Austin, Texas, Emma Robbins broke the women's hammer throw school record with a 4th place finish at 69.89m/229-3. Urte Bacianskaite also earned First-Team All-America honors in the women's heptathlon with 5,790 points in 9th place while Kade McCall earned Second-Team honors in the hammer throw.

Prior to June, multiple Wildcats earned runner-up spots at the outdoor Big 12 Championship-- Robbins and McCall in the women's and men's hammer throw and Bacianskaite in the heptathlon. Monique Hardy claimed 3rd place in the women's hammer.

During the indoor Big 12 Championship, Jasmine Greer claimed the weight throw runner-up at 20.63m/67-8.25 with Robbins and Hardy taking 3rd and 4th in the event. Bacianskaite claimed 3rd place in the heptathlon with 4,028 points while Emil Uhlin finished 4th in the men's decathlon with 5,462 points.

Tejaswin Shankar returned the outdoor high jump NCAA Championship to K-State after clearing a height of 2.27m/7-5.25. During his five seasons as a Wildcats he earned nine All-America honors, including four First Team Outdoor honors. He competed in his first career decathlon at the outdoor Big 12 Championship with a 3rd place 7,592 points. During the indoor Championship he finished runner-up in the high jump.

Other NCAA All-Americans during the season included Taishia Pryce in the indoor long jump and Kassidy Johnson with a school record in the indoor 800 meters, as well as outdoors. During the outdoor season, Kade McCall earned his first Second-Team All-America honors in the men's hammer throw, Emil Uhlin in his first decathlon, and Tommi Hintnaus in the women's pole vault.

Tejaswin Shankar collected multiple accolades for the Wildcats his junior year. Shankar finished runner-up during the outdoor NCAA Championship and third in the NCAA Indoor Championship high jump and 11th in the triple jump, the first to collect two All-American honors in one season since 2012. He won both the indoor and outdoor Big 12 high jump championship, his third straight indoor title, with runner-up in the triple jump as well to claim the men's indoor high point award.

During the outdoor NCAA Championship, seven Wildcats earned Second Team All-American honors--  Taylor Latimer (shot put), Ashley Petr (discus), Taishia Pryce (long jump), Logan Wolfley (javelin) and Lauren Taubert and Ariel Okorie (heptathlon). Taubert and Okorie are the first Wildcat duo to earn All-America honors in the heptathlon in the same year. 

Wolfley captured the first Big 12 men's javelin title in K-State history with a new school record throw of 73.08m/239-9. During the outdoor championship, Kimisha Chambers and Taylor Latimer also collected titles in the women's 400 meter hurdles and women's shot put. In the women's heptathlon, Lauren Taubert finished runner-up with 5,772 points. The women's team collected a team runner-up total of 114 points, finishing in the top-3 for five consecutive years.

Shardia Lawrence won the NCAA Outdoor Championship triple jump title with a new school record jump of 13.99m/45-10. Taubert (heptathlon) and Taylor Latimer (shot put) added First Team All-American honors at the outdoor championships.

Taubert and Lawrence led the way at the NCAA Indoor Championships for the K-State women. Taubert earned her first All-American honor with an 11th-place finish in the heptathlon, while Lawrence also tabbed All-American honors by finishing sixth in the triple jump.

Cliff Rovelto was also named Big 12 Women’s Outdoor Coach of the Year.

On the men's side, Aaron Booth earned first-team All-American honors by finishing eighth in the heptathlon at the indoor championships. Brett Neelly and Tejaswin Shankar added second-team All-American honors in the shot put and high jump, respectively, at the indoor championships.

The trio of Shankar, Booth and Neelly also led the way in the outdoor season. Shankar finished as the national runner-up in the high jump. Booth earned another first-team All-American honor with a sixth-place finish in the decathlon. Neely finished eighth in the discus.

The Kansas State women's team earned their second-consecutive Big 12 Championship and second in as many years, while the K-State men earned a program best finish at the Big 12 meet, finishing tied for third with 101 points. The Wildcats season was led by four individual Big 12 Champions, including Nina Schultz (indoor, high jump), Mitch Dixon (indoor, weight throw), Janee' Kassanavoid (outdoor, hammer throw) and Ranae McKenzie (outdoor, 400 meter hurdles). In addition, 17 individuals qualified for the NCAA Championship meet (2 indoor, 15 outdoor) with nine individuals combining for 11 All-America honors. Freshman Tejaswin Shankar became the fifth Wildcat in the past 10 years to win the NCAA Outdoor high jump title, and just the fifth freshman to ever be crowned champion in the event.

Among the several honors garnered throughout the year, four school records were broken, in addition to several national, meet and facility records. Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Cliff Rovelto also earned his fifth Big 12 Coach of the Year honor, including his fourth as a women's outdoor coach, becoming the only active Big 12 Coach with four coach of the year honors during the women's outdoor season.

The K-State women earned their first Big 12 Championship since 2001 and third and school history, behind 133 points and four individual Big 12 Champions, including Morgan Wedekind (3,000-meter steeplechase), Nina Schultz (high jump), Shadae Lawrence (discus) and Janee' Kassanavoid (hammer throw). The Wildcats combined for 16 All-American honors between the indoor and outdoor seasons, from 12 individuals. At the NCAA Outdoor Championship, Christoff Bryan became the 11th K-State men's outdoor NCAA Champion, winning the men's high jump. The K-State women also earned a top-10 finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championship, becoming just one of seven programs to finish in the top-10 of the women's standings in each of the last three seasons.

With his third Big 12 women's outdoor championship, Cliff Rovelto earned his third Big 12 women's outdoor Coach of the Year honor (2001, 2002, 2017), while also earning USTFCCCA Midwest Women's Outdoor Coach of the Year honors, along with Greg Watson earning USTFCCCA Midwest Women's Outdoor Assistant Coach of the Year.

The 2015-16 season was highlighted by a pair of top-10 NCAA team finishes from the K-State women, including an NCAA Outdoor individual Championship in the high jump from Kim Williamson, an NCAA Indoor individual Championship in the shot put from Dani Winters and six All-American honors during the outdoor season. In total, 10 Wildcats earned 15 All-American certificates throughout the season.

K-State also fared well at the Big 12 Championships, where the K-State men placed third at the indoor meet, while the women placed third at both the indoor and outdoor meet. Freshman Shadae Lawrence also earned Big 12 outstanding freshman of the year, the second time in as many years a Wildcat earned the award. In addition, Akela Jones earned Big 12 High Point scorer during the indoor season, marking the second time she had received the honor in her career.

Akela Jones became the sixth K-State woman to win an NCAA Outdoor Championship and the fourth heptathlete in school history as the K-State women earned their first top-10 finish since 2002. In addition to her heptathlon title, Jones placed fourth in the women's high jump, and was joined by a second-place finish from Kim Williamson in the high jump and a fourth-place finish from Dani Winters in the women's shot put, as the Wildcats scored 28 points to place ninth overall.

In addition to their prominent showing at the NCAA Championships, the Wildcats put together strong performances at the conference level, with the women earning a pair of second-place finishes during the indoor and outdoor season, led by conference titles from Sara Savatovic (indoor, weight throw, outdoor, hammer throw), Kim Williamson (indoor/outdoor, high jump), Dani Winters (indoor/outdoor, shot put) and Akela Jones (indoor, long jump). The K-State men were led by a conference individual champion in Ifeanyi Otuonye, who won the Big 12 title in the men's long jump (outdoor).

Devin Field earned a runner-up finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., while Alyx Treasure followed up with a second-place performance of her own in the women's high jump. Former Wildcat Kyle Wait used a pole vault mark of 5.39m to claim a spot at eight place during the NCAA Indoors on the men's side and Erica Twiss posted 4,178 points during the pentathlon to finish 10th in Albuquerque, N.M. The Wildcats ended their conference outdoor season with the men's team taking fifth and the women's squad posting a spot at sixth place. The Big 12 Indoor Championship saw the 'Cats score spots at third and fifth place during their stay in Ames, Iowa. K-State saw five individuals take home titles in their respective events during the indoor conference championship and four titles for the outdoor conference meet.

Erik Kynard posted top-three performances in the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships for the high jump event, as he achieved a runner-up finish during the outdoor competition with a jump of 2.31m/7-07 in Eugene, Ore. Jharyl Bowery captured a spot on the First Team All-American squad with his long jump mark of 7.82m/25-08.25. For the indoor campaign, Merryl Mbeng had a stellar all-around performance in the pentathlon, which gave her a First Team All-American distinction in Fayetteville, Ark. Three other Wildcats on the men's team, Devin Dick, Carlos Rodriguez and Kyle Wait, all received Second Team All-American honors for their performances at the indoor national championships. For the conference championship, the men's team placed fourth and the women's team scooped up a seventh-place finish for the Big 12 Outdoor Championship in Waco, Texas.

At the Big 12 Indoor Championship, the men's team earned a top-three placing at Ames, Iowa. A total of five athletes won their respective events for the conference indoor and outdoor championship, with Kynard recording a high jump victory in both competitions.

K-State witnessed its Olympic silver medalist Erik Kynard record another national championship crown in the high jump during the outdoor season. Kynard posted a 2.33m/7-08 mark in the high jump to capture his second national championship of his career. Ryann Krais, the lone Wildcat on the women's side at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, performed well in the heptathlon to score a Second Team All-American selection in Des Moines, Iowa. Along with Kynard, Jeffrey Julmis and Matas Silkauskas all achieved All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Nampa, Idaho. Kynard recorded another First Team All-American performance while Julmis and Silkauskas both finished back-to-back in the 60-meter hurdles at 10th and 11th, which resulted in both athletes earning Second Team All-American selections. Krais ended her run at the indoor national championship with a spot at fifth place for the pentathlon while Boglarka Bozzay finished sixth in the 1000 meters and Alyx Treasure used a mark of 1.74m/5-08.75 to capture a Second Team All-American selection.

The Wildcats hosted the Big 12 Outdoor Championship at the R.V. Christian Track and Field Complex during the 2012 season. The men's squad turned in a fourth-place performance while women's team ended the conference championship at eighth place. A total of six athletes notched Big 12 titles in their respective events for the indoor and outdoor conference meets, with Kynard and Krais both taking home first-place performances in both the indoor and outdoor championship.Â
