DALLAS Senior offensive lineman Jeromey Clary has been named to the 2005 All-Big 12 Football Second Team as selected by the league’s coaches, conference officials announced Tuesday.
It is the second straight second team All-Big 12 selection for Clary, who earlier this year was named to the conference’s all-academic squad.
Four other Wildcats earned honorable mention accolades from the league, including junior linebacker Brandon Archer, senior fullback Victor Mann, sophomore wide receiver Jordy Nelson and sophomore defensive back Marcus Watts.
On Monday, Clary, Archer and Nelson were all named to the Kansas City Star second team All-Big 12 squad.
Clary was Kansas State’s top-rated offensive lineman this season, while Archer led the Wildcats in tackles with 72.
Nelson, who ranked second in the Big 12 in receiving touchdowns with eight, was K-State’s top pass catcher.
The sophomore also ranked in the top 10 in the Big 12 in both reception yardage and receptions per game, despite playing in an offense that had the third fewest pass attempts in the conference this season.
