MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2025 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 19 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
Anudike-Uzomah, who is in his third NFL season, was placed on season-ending injured reserve prior to the beginning of the regular season. The Chiefs dropped to 0-2 with a 20-17 home loss to Philadelphia, and they travel to face the New York Giants on Sunday night.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
Making his 18th-career start, Beebe saw time on 73 offensive snaps but left the game due to injury in Dallas' 40-37 overtime home win over the New York Giants. Now 1-1 this season, the Cowboys play at Chicago on Sunday.
JuJu Brents, CB – Miami Dolphins
Brents, who is in his third NFL season and first with Miami, saw his first action for the Dolphins as he was in for seven special teams plays their 33-27 home loss to New England. Miami fell to 0-2 this season and plays at Buffalo on Thursday night.
DJ Giddens, RB – Indianapolis Colts
Giddens was targeted on one pass play among his five offensive snaps in the Colts' 29-28 last-second win over Denver. Indianapolis improved to 2-0 this season, and the Colts play at Tennessee on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Hayes, who is in his third season in the NFL, was in for 22 special teams plays and made a tackle on kickoff coverage in Tampa Bay's 20-19 last-minute win at Houston on Monday night. The Buccaneers are 2-0 this season prior to their home opener against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Timmy Horne, DT – Tennessee Titans
In his fourth NFL season, Horne is on the Tennessee practice squad. The Titans lost at the Los Angeles Rams, 33-19, to drop to 0-2 this season, and they host Indianapolis on Sunday.
Easton Kilty, OL – New Orleans Saints
A rookie free agent, Kilty is on the Saints' practice squad. New Orleans lost at home to San Francisco, 26-21, to drop to 0-2 this season, and the Saints play at Seattle on Sunday.
KT Leveston, OL – Cleveland Browns
Leveston, who spent his rookie season with the Rams, was traded to Cleveland and saw time in his first NFL game – playing on 10 offensive snaps and three special teams plays – in the Browns' 41-17 loss at Baltimore. Cleveland is 0-2 this season and hosts Green Bay on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Tennessee Titans
Lockett made his first start with Tennessee – and his 110th overall – as he made two catches for nine yards in the Titans' 33-19 loss at the Los Angeles Rams. The Titans are 0-2 this season prior to their home opener on Sunday against Indianapolis.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Cleveland Browns
In his 12th NFL season, Lucas made his 55th-career start when he lined up at right tackle and was in for all 73 offensive snaps in Cleveland's 41-17 loss at Baltimore. The Browns, now 0-2 this season, host Green Bay on Sunday.
Adrian Martinez, QB – San Francisco 49ers
After spending the 2024 season on the New York Jets' practice squad, Martinez was signed to San Francisco's practice squad and was elevated to the active roster in the 49ers' 26-21 win at New Orleans. Now 2-0 this season, San Francisco has its open opener on Sunday against Arizona.
Jacob Parrish, CB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Playing in his second NFL game, Parrish came away with a tackle and a pass breakup among his 30 defensive snaps in addition to seeing time on three special teams plays, helping the Buccaneers pick up a 20-19 win at Houston on Monday night. After winning a pair of road games to start the 2025 season, Tampa Bay hosts the New York Jets in its home opener on Sunday.
D.J. Reed, DB – Detroit Lions
Reed, who signed with Detroit in the offseason, made his 72nd-career start and totaled five tackles among his 60 defensive snaps in the Lions' 52-21 home win over Chicago. Detroit evened its record at 1-1 prior to a Monday-night game at Baltimore.
Dalton Risner, OL – Cincinnati Bengals
In his seventh NFL season and first with Cincinnati, Risner made his 82nd-career start when he lined up at right guard and was in for all 69 offensive snaps in the Bengals' 31-27 last-minute win over Jacksonville. Cincinnati improved to 2-0 this season before a game at Minnesota on Sunday.
Marques Sigle, S – San Francisco 49ers
Sigle, a fifth-round selection in this year's draft, made his second-straight start and had five tackles while playing on all 71 defensive snaps and nine special teams plays, helping San Francisco improve to 2-0 with a 26-21 win at New Orleans. The 49ers have their home opener on Sunday when they host Arizona.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
Sinnott, who is in his second NFL season, made one reception for seven yards among his three offensive snaps in addition to seeing time on 10 special teams plays in Washington's 27-18 loss at Green Bay on Thursday night. The Commanders, now 0-2 on the season, host Las Vegas on Sunday.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Pittsburgh Steelers
Thompson, who spent his first three NFL seasons in Miami, signed with Pittsburgh during the offseason and was placed on injured reserve last week. The Steelers lost at home to Seattle, 31-17, to fall to 1-1 on the season prior to playing at New England on Sunday.
Deuce Vaughn, RB – Denver Broncos
Vaughn, who spent his first two seasons in Dallas, was signed to the Broncos' practice squad last week. Denver lost at Indianapolis, 29-28, to fall to 1-1 on the season prior to playing at the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Russ Yeast, S – Cincinnati Bengals
Yeast, who is in his third NFL season, signed with the Bengals' practice squad in late August. Cincinnati improved to 2-0 this season with a 31-27 win over Jacksonville, and the Bengals play at Minnesota on Sunday.
