MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State Athletics and K-State Sports Properties announced today a new partnership with WTC Fiber that is built for always-on visibility and local connectivity. The multi-year partnership is highlighted by premium on-field logo placement at Tointon Family Stadium, beginning this season.
Established in nearby Wamego more than 100 years ago, WTC Fiber is a fiber-optic telecommunications provider serving north-central Kansas with high-speed internet, television, phone, and business services. A community-first business, WTC Fiber aims to drive deeper connection with and for Wildcat fans in Manhattan and surrounding communities.
"As we continue to look for partners in this ever-changing landscape, it is always icing on the cake when we can work with someone local who cares deeply for K-State and our student-athletes," Athletics Director Gene Taylor said. "WTC is a tremendous partner, both to our department and individually with student-athletes, and we are thrilled to have their logo prominently displayed at Tointon Family Stadium."
WTC Fiber's 1st and 3rd baseline on-field logos are a first for K-State Baseball at Tointon Family Stadium. The partnership also creates new NIL opportunities, enhancing the student-athlete experience and strengthening WTC Fiber's connection with the Wildcat Baseball fanbase. WTC Fiber will receive additional fan engagement opportunities throughout the season and broaden their reach with visibility in other K-State sports as well.
"Kansas State Athletics play an essential role in the life and spirit of this region," said Jeff Wick, CEO of WTC Fiber. "As a community-first company, we are proud to support K-State Athletics in a way that strengthens our connection with Manhattan and the surrounding communities. This partnership reflects our long-term commitment to investing in the people, traditions, and student-athletes who make this place so special."
"WTC Fiber is devoting significant support to K-State Athletics across multiple sports and assets, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the Wildcat family and see their logo adorn the field at Tointon Family Stadium," said Ben Boyle, General Manager of K-State Sports Properties. "Their commitment to Wildcat student-athletes through NIL support will provide terrific opportunities for our student-athletes and drive a deeper connection between WTC Fiber and the K-State fanbase."
K-State Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the leading media and technology company powering college athletics – is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Kansas State Athletics and oversees all sponsorship agreements on behalf of the Wildcats. K-State Sports Properties does not represent the student-athletes themselves but collaborates with corporate partners to maximize sponsorship agreements with the inclusion of NIL programs and the integration of university marks and logos within those programs.
