HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Kansas State senior men's golfer Shea Harmeson turned in a score of 3-under par 67 on Tuesday to lead the Wildcats during the third round of the 2026 Big 12 Championship presented by Allstate held at the par-70, 7,025-yard Prairie Dunes Country Club.
K-State produced its best round in the Big 12 Championship thus far at 2-over par 282, which was tied for the seventh-best round on Tuesday among the 16-team field. The Wildcats hold a 54-hole total of 19-over par 859 as they enter Wednesday's fourth and final round in 11th place. K-State is two shots behind 10th-place Iowa State, while it is two shots clear of 10th-ranked Arizona State.
"Overall, it was a very solid day for us," said head coach Grant Robbins, whose team leads the field with 178 total pars. "Shea played extremely well, and I thought everyone hit a lot of quality shots today. We are looking forward to one more round tomorrow. We just have to stay present and committed on every shot and take what the golf course gives us. The guys are giving it everything they have. We will keep competing, and hopefully we will get a few more putts to fall."
Harmeson's score of 67 was tied for the third-best round on Moving Day among the 80 competitors. It was his second-straight under-par round of the championship as he now has 11 rounds in red figures this season with five of those being in the 60s.
Beginning the day on the back 9, Harmeson's lone bogey of the day came on No. 11 before birdies on Nos. 13, 17, 2 and 7 to mark the second-straight season a Wildcat had a 67 or better in the Big 12 Championship. A native of Traverse City, Michigan, Harmeson flew 20 spots up the leaderboard – the second-biggest rise on Tuesday – into a tie for 29th place at 3-over par 213.
Another senior, Alex Lindstrom, turned in a round of 1-over par 71 on Tuesday with two birdies and three bogeys. The Halmstad, Sweden, native remains in the top 15 as he is in 14th place at 1-under par 209. He is looking to register the Wildcats' first top-10 finish in the Big 12 Championship since Jeremy Gandon and Roland Massimino tied for eighth place in 2019.
Freshman Ville Virkkala is tied with Harmeson for 29th place following his third-straight round of 1-over par 71, which included an even-par total over his final nine holes. Virkkala ranks third in the field with 41 pars on his 54 total holes (75.9%).
Sophomore Fionn Dobbin was inserted into the scoring lineup for the third round and turned in a counting score of 3-over par 73 thanks in part to three birdies on the day. Freshman Oliver Toyer recorded a round of 6-over par 76, remaining in 74th place at 20-over par 230.
Fifth-ranked Oklahoma State extended its lead to nine shots as the Cowboys now stand at 19-under par 821. No. 20 Arizona is in second place at 10-under par, while 36th-ranked TCU is the only other team in red figures at 1-under par. Oklahoma State's Preston Stout, the third-ranked player in the nation, enters the final round with a two-shot lead at 11-under par 199.
Kansas State's final round of the 2026 Big 12 Championship presented by Allstate begins Wednesday morning with tee times off No. 10 starting at 8 a.m. Live results can be followed on SCOREBOARD powered by Clippd, while final-round coverage is available on ESPN+ with John Liddle (play by play) and Hope Barnett (analyst) on the call.
