MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State shortstop Dee Kennedy was named to the 2026 D1Baseball All-American Third Team, the publication announced.
The honor marks the NCBWA Co-District 6 Player of the Year's fourth All-America selection of the season. Kennedy previously earned Second Team All-America honors from the NCBWA and Perfect Game, along with Third Team recognition from ABCA/Rawlings.
This season, Kennedy received ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region honors and was also named a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and Brooks Wallace Award. He also garnered First Team All-Big 12 recognition, Midseason First Team All-America honors from D1Baseball and Perfect Game and collected five Player of the Week awards from numerous organizations.
The Fort Worth, Texas product compiled one of the most dominant offensive seasons in K-State history, leading the Wildcats in nearly every major offensive category. He posted a team-best .357 batting average, .461 on-base percentage and .733 slugging percentage while collecting 79 hits, 20 home runs, 69 RBI and 70 runs scored. His 40 extra-base hits in 2026 ranks second all-time in the K-State single-season records, while his slugging percentage is good for fourth.
Kennedy finished his junior season with 17 doubles, three triples, a school-record 20 home runs and 22 stolen bases, becoming just the fifth player in Big 12 history to record a 20-home run, 20-stolen-base season.
The honor marks K-State's 43rd postseason All-America selection and 12th in the Pete Hughes era.
K-State secured its fourth consecutive 30-win season with an overall record of 30-27. The streak ties the longest run of 30-win seasons in program history and is the Wildcats' first since 1988-91.
