Named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 Player of the Week on May 24 ... Started all 57 games at third base in 2021, posting a slash line of .280/.354/.543 with 15 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs and 44 RBI ... Started all 241 games in his K-State career to become the program's all-time leader in starts and second in career games played ... His 278 career base hits rank third in program history and he is the all-time leader in career at-bats with 970 ... Second all-time with 184 runs scored and tied for ninth with 23 career homers ... Career-best home run and RBI totals in 2021 ... Produced 17 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI games ... Team-high four four-hit efforts ... Swiped 10 bases and walked 25 times ... Went 4-for-5 with a double, home run and three RBI on Senior Day vs. TCU on May 22 ... Three straight multi-hit games in the TCU series to end the regular season ... Drove in four, going 2-for-4 with a double and home run, in a 7-2 win over Texas Tech at the Big 12 Championship ... Turned in a pair of two-homer games: March 21 vs. New Mexico and May 1 vs. Texas Southern ... Back-to-back four-hit games in two games vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (April 6-7) ... Season-long six-game hitting streak from April 2-10 ... In Big 12 play, hit .266 (25-for-94) with six doubles, a triple, four homers and 11 RBI .... Walked nine times and stole four bases.

2020 SUMMER LEAGUE
Began the summer with Perfect Timing Red of the Perfect Timing College League in Springdale, Arkansas ...  Posted a slash line of .304/.515/.391 with two doubles, an RBI and seven runs scored in 11 games ... Went 2 for 2 with a double and a run scored in his last game with PT Red on June 29 ... PT Red finished the season fourth in the league with a 11-7-1 record ... Debuted with the Waterloo (Iowa) Bucks of the Northwoods League on July 6, and in 23 games put together a slash line of .313/.385/.386 with six doubles, 15 RBI and 10 steals ... Produced back-to-back two-hit games in his last two contest, driving in two in his last game on August 7 ... He went 3 for 5 with a double and two RBI on July 25 and followed that up with two hits and a season-high three RBI on July 28 ... Strung together a six-game hitting streak from July 11-16 ... On July 11, Thompson went 5 for 6 with a double, two runs batted in and five runs scored ... Waterloo finished 28-13 and in first in the Minnesota-Iowa Division.

SENIOR (2020)
Named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team ... Started all 17 games at third base in 2020, posting a slash line of .338/.243/.523 ... Recorded a team-high nine doubles with one home run and nine RBI ... Tied for team lead with 22 base hits and led team with 19 runs scored ... Recorded 200th career hit on February 28 against Fairleigh Dickinson ... Team-best nine multi-hit games, including a three-hit game at Stanford (March 7), going 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored ... Doubled in each of the season's final five games ... Drew 11 walks and stole six bases ... Began the season with an 11-game on-base streak.

2019 SUMMER LEAGUE
Played for the Harwich (Massachusetts) Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League ... In 12 games had a slash line of .154/.227/.179 with a double and an RBI.

JUNIOR (2019)
Named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and Academic All-Big 12 Second Team ... Started all 58 games, with 46 coming at third base ... Led K-State with 68 base hits and posted a slash line of .275/.312/.405 with 13 doubles, two triples five home runs and 30 RBI ... All five home runs came in a nine-game stretch from April 14-28 ... Led K-State with 21 multi-hit games and had five multi-RBI games ... Season-high four base hits against Oklahoma on May 27, going 4-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored ... Twice hit two doubles in a game (March 2 vs. San Francisco, May 19 at Kansas) ... Five straight multi-hit games from March 12-17 ... Season-long 11-game hitting streak from April 14-May 3 ... 16-game on-base streak was longest by any Wildcat during the season (April 12-May 7) ... Team-high 25 hits during conference play with a slash line of .234/.255/.411 to go with seven doubles, four home runs and nine RBI.

2018 SUMMER LEAGUE
Played for the Harwich (Massachusetts) Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League ... In 16 games, posted a slash line of .340/.468/.400 with three doubles, two runs batted in an seven runs scored ... Stole two bases  and drew 11 walks before his season ended due to injury ... Harwich finished 18-24-2 in hte East Division of the CCBL.

SOPHOMORE (2018)
Started all 54 games at shortstop during his sophomore season, posting a slash line of .257/.363/.350 with eight doubles, four triples, a home run and 33 RBI ... Finished fourth on the team in average and was third with 16 stolen bases ... Third on the team with 13 multi-hit games, including six three-hit games and a career-high five hits on March 30 against Texas in which he delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning ... Nine games driving in multiple runs (second on team) and a season high four RBI on April 10 against Nebraska ... Hit only home run of season on April 9 against Oklahoma State ... Turned in two triples on March 2 against La Salle ... Had a season-long on-base streak of 16 games to begin the season (Feb. 16-March 13) ... Swiped multiple bases three times ... In Big 12 play, had a slash line of .239/.337/.318 with two doubles, a triple, a homer and 11 RBI.

2017 SUMMER LEAGUE
Played for Anchorage Glacier Pilots of the Alaska Baseball League ... Named Alaska League All-Star ... Hit .207 (29-for-140) with two triples and 15 runs driven in along with drawing 34 walks and five stolen bases ... Appeared on the mound three times, not allowing an earned run over 5.2 innings with three strikeouts ... Six multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games.

FRESHMAN (2017)
Named a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American in addition to the Big 12's Second Team and All-Freshman Team during his freshman campaign at K-State ... One of two Wildcats to start all 55 games and led the team with 70 hits and 41 runs scored ... His .318 average and 12 stolen bases were second on the team and was third with 33 runs batted in and an OBP of .418 and SLG of .409 ... Posted eight doubles, four triples (led team) and two home runs ... Led K-State with 22 multi-hit games, including two four-hit efforts ... Tied for second on team with 33 walks drawn ... Hit .328 (22-for-67) with runners in scoring position and 10 two-out RBI ... Went 4-for-4 vs. Delaware in his third game in a K-State uniform ... Hit his first career home run vs. Northwestern State on March 8 ... Hit his first Big 12 home run at Baylor on May 18 ... In 24 Big 12 games, hit .281 (25-for-89) with two doubles, triple home run and seven RBI ... Third on team with eight multi-RBI games, including two four-RBI games (March 21 vs. Omaha, April 18 vs. New Mexico) ... Season-high four walks at Oklahoma State on April 7.

Attended Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas … Named Houston Chronicle's Pitcher of the Year, Best Two-Way Player in Texas (6A) and Athlete of the Year at Deer Park ...
