MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head women's golf coach Stew Burke announced Thursday the signing of two international golfers to National Letters of Intent as Natalia Fiel Ros and Nanami Nakashima will begin their stints for the Wildcats during the 2024-25 season.

Fiel Ros will come to Manhattan from Valencia, Spain, while Nakashima is a native of Kani, Japan.

"This is a really strong recruiting class to follow our first class this past summer," Burke said. "We're excited to be able to add two talented players to an already deep roster. Our goal remains the same for each class, which is to add elite talent and depth while maintaining a championship culture."

A member of the Spanish Girls National Team, Fiel Ros is rated in the top 10 among U18 Spanish players thanks in part to a victory this past July at the Copa de la Comunidad Valenciana with a 54-hole score of 220 (69-77-74). Last year, Fiel Ros finished fourth at the Spanish International Stroke Play in addition to earning a top-15 finish at the European Ladies Amateur Championship and a top-20 showing at the R&A Girls Amateur Championship.

Fiel Ros will be one of three Spaniards on K-State's roster next season, joining Castellon natives Julia Ballester Barrio and Carla Bernat. Fiel Ros' hometown of Valencia is an hour drive southwest down the coast of the Balearic Sea from Castellon.

"Natalia is a player that we've been keeping an eye on for a long time and faced stiff competition from a number of other elite schools to add to their roster," Burke said. "We are delighted that she chose to attend K-State, as she will be an integral part of our roster as a freshman. She comes from a talented, sporting family and is determined to reach her goals at the collegiate level and beyond."

"Nanami is a huge addition for our program. She has a high level of competitive experience and has shown that she can win in the U.S. at the elite level," Burke said. "Her love of the game is evident, and her desire to improve is clear. We are very excited to help her develop. Her work ethic and winning attitude will fit our culture."

K-State opens the 2023 spring slate at the Puerto Rico Challenge, February 4-6, at Grand Reserve in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. It is the first of five spring events for the Wildcats prior to the 2024 Big 12 Championship, held April 18-20, at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas.
