FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Colleen Corbin
On how the team improved from last week to this week…
"The biggest thing we have continued to build on is our mentality. We didn't play our best soccer this evening but the team stayed committed to the grind and found a way to get a result on the road."
On the combination of Hannah Palmer and Mabry Williams…
"Mabry (Williams) and Hannah (Palmer) continue to bring a big spark, new energy and a different look as game changers coming into the match. They both have a relentless work ethic which helps elevate our momentum as the half continues. I am very happy for both of them and their continued impact."
On Marshall's speed and strength helping her score on Thursday…
"Allison (Marshall) is an incredible athlete and she has been so dedicated in the off season to getting stronger in the weight room and faster on the field, and it shows. Very happy for her to get a goal this evening and be rewarded for the work she's been putting in."
On the team's defense right now…
"Our program has really committed to defending as a team, from the front line to the back line and our goalkeeper. When we don't have the ball, there is a collective mindset to work their butt off to go and win the ball back. This group is starting to take great pride in protecting  our own goal and it's been really fun to watch."
