Lindstrom Ready for 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State senior men's golfer Alex Lindstrom is set to begin play in the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional, Monday through Wednesday, at the par-71, 7,361-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Oregon.
Lindstrom is one of 10 individuals joining 13 teams in the regional, and he is looking to be the top individual on a non-advancing team to move on to the 2026 NCAA Championship, held May 29 through June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. It marks the 18th time a Wildcat will compete in an NCAA Regional as an individual.
"We are excited for Alex to compete at regionals," said head coach Grant Robbins, who has led a Wildcat team or individual to NCAA Regionals for eight-straight seasons (excluding the cancelled 2020 postseason). "It is a course that suits his game really well. He is a great driver of the ball, which should set up some good scoring opportunities for him. I am looking forward to him having a great week."
A native of Halmstad, Sweden, Lindstrom enters the postseason with a 72.19 scoring average over 32 rounds this season. He has accumulated five top-20 appearances in his 11 starts, which includes three top-10 showings.
Lindstrom tallied the 46th individual title in program history when tallied a 13-under par 200 – the fifth-lowest 54-hole in school history – in the Git-R-Done Invitational in late September. His total included a first-round score of 8-under par 63, tied for the second-lowest round in school history and the lowest since 2004.
His performance at the Git-R-Done Invitational saw him score in the 60s in all three rounds, part of nine rounds in the 60s and 13 under-par rounds this season to lead the team.
Lindstrom tees off the first round of the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional Monday morning at 9:31 a.m. (PT), and he is paired with Sacramento State's Zachary Matzke and San Jose State's Ivan Barahona. Live results can be followed on SCOREBOARD powered by Clippd, while coverage of all three rounds is available on Babygrande Golf.
